TOM PENNINGTON

PLENARY SPEAKER

Tom Pennington has served as Pastor-Teacher at Countryside Bible Church since October, 2003. Prior to arriving in Texas, he served 16 years at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, including as an elder. He spent his last four years there as Senior Associate Pastor and as personal assistant to John MacArthur. Prior to that, he served as Managing Director of Grace to You, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the international radio, tape, publications, and internet ministry.

Tom completed his B.A. and M.A. at Bob Jones University and served as a member of the faculty while taking additional Ph.D. classes in New Testament Interpretation. In 2013, he received an honorary Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) from The Master’s University.

Tom’s role at Countryside includes teaching during the Sunday services, overseeing the church staff, and working with the rest of the elders to provide leadership to the entire church. Tom’s teaching ministry is featured on The Word Unleashed. In addition to his role as Pastor-Teacher, he is actively involved internationally in training pastors in expository preaching. Tom and his wife, Sheila, have three children, Lauren, Katie, and Jessica.

ERIC BARBEE

The West Texas native is a graduate of Southern Seminary (M.Div. in Biblical & Theological Studies) and The Master’s Seminary (D.Min. in Preaching).

Eric joined Fellowship Church Lubbock in 2003 soon after its founding in 2002, serving faithfully as an elder at FCL since 2007 before accepting the position of Pastor in April 2014.

Pastor Barbee is married to Jessica, and together have two children.

The Seattle native is a graduate of Olympic College (A.A. in Applied Sciences, Music), Frontier Bible College (B.A. in Pastoral Studies), has studied at Reformed Baptist Seminary, and is currently a student at Forge Theological Seminary (M.Div. in Biblical & Theological Studies).

Colin joined Fellowship Church Lubbock in early 2020 after serving in bi-vocational roles for over 15 years in Wyoming, Nebraska, and Texas. His pursuits in ministry include the intersection of old and new in worship, the pastoral dimensions of worship leading, and the centrality of the gospel in worship. He is also a songwriter and arranger, and hosts a blog called Rooted + Relevant.

Colin is married to Jessica, and together they have six children.
